I moved to Gunnison in 2002 to attend and play football for Western State College, now Western State Colorado University. Fly-fishing, chasing trophy lake trout, target archery, and archery hunting are my passions. I have been fishing the unique Gunnison valley for 20 years now, and have been guiding for 18. It's hard to believe it's been that long but I can't see myself doing anything else. I truly love the fisheries in this valley and I am eager to share them with you.

Originally from Northern Colorado, I moved to Gunnison in 2003 to attend Western State College. From here I found myself going from the weekend fisherman to being on the water everyday: exploring, fishing, skiing, and enjoying the outdoors the Gunnison/Crested Butte Valley provided at my doorstep. I am now entering my 7th year guiding fly fishermen and am enthusiastic about it as ever! I truly enjoy getting to know new people day in and day out, and teaching them knowledge I have, while watching them learn the skills they carry with them beyond our day on the river-and oh yeah, catch a few fish in the mean time. I was born and raised in Montrose, CO and have been fishing the Western Slope for almost 20 years. I moved to Gunnison to pursue a degree in Wildlife Biology at Western State Colorado University. Most of my free time is spent chasing trout or exploring the mountains that surround the Gunnison Basin. I love meeting new people and sharing experiences on the water that will be cherished for decades to come. Hope to see you on the river!

I moved to Gunnison in August of 2016 to attend Western Colorado University where I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree. In my free time I enjoy fly-fishing for just about anything that will chase a fly. In the winter months you will find me on the slopes downhill skiing or ice fishing for lake trout. I was born and raised just northwest of here in Grand Junction, Colorado. This will be my third season guiding in the Gunnison Valley. When I'm not on the water you can find me working at Gene Taylor's Sporting Goods in the fly shop, feel free to stop in the shop and chat.
